Removal transformation tooling

Dear eMagiz user,

As of 1 June 2022 eMagiz will fully remove the old transformation tooling functionality in the iPaaS Portal. The old transformation tooling refers to resources marked as type XML Definition (classic) and type XML Transformation (classic) and can be recognized by the yellow dots in the icon. The old transformation tooling was replaced years back with the current graphical way to create transformations in Design and Create. Some client models still contain the old way of working and these integrations haven’t been transitioned to the current transformation tooling. In our effort to keep our platform up to date and because of our almost 5 years of extended support on this functionality, we have decided to remove the functionality to view & edit these classic transformation tooling resources within the eMagiz iPaas Portal.

This means that as of 1 June, all resources with type XML Definition (classic) and XML Transformation (classic) are changed to type W3C Schema Definition resp. W3C XSLT (also referred to as custom definitions and transformations). Any flow that is still using these resources will continue to operate as the translated flows will contain the same (technical) definition and transformation. From an eMagiz users’ point of view, the interface within the Create Flow Designer will disappear. These resources can then only be changed manually via any text editor.

We strongly advise all our clients to use the current transformation tooling as a best practice. It offers easy to use graphical transformations tooling, facilitating easy handover between eMagiz users in line with the model driven way of working within eMagiz. We have provided specific user guides on how to migrate such definitions and transformations to the best practices way of working. Please refer to the following section to learn more about these: https://emagiz.github.io/docs/howto/userguide-legacyconstructs#1-old-transformation-tooling.
